Good Evening, Race fans. Hunch punch, first of the month! Thank goodness January is done. Before we assign January to the history books, however, let’s celebrate Chris Pitkin. Chris completed a gruelling-looking trail run in Surrey. With over 1100 ft of elevation (according to Strava), the G3 15k event looked quite an ask. Chris clocked a time of 1.39.50. Meanwhile, 1 February heralded the start of the Spring road running season proper. The Watford Half Marathon and 10k were the first events out of the blocks. In the 10k Jessica Moss made her debut for Team Green, finishing in 54.26. Jess is running with our Get Going Running group on a Tuesday evening. In Half Marathon news, Adam Shute led the Club contingent home in a time of 1.17.40. He was joined by: Aran Davidson (1.21.07); Katie Royals (1.34.18 – PB); Ali Young (1.36.33); Mairead O’Rourke (1.36.41); Ed Wright (1.39.42); Chris Lower (1.39.57); Tim Margetts (1.43.02); Susan Scollan (1.43.45); Sylvia and Richard Moss (1.46.50 and 1.46.51, respectively); and Rik Edwards (2.06.14). Well done, all!
COMING UP LOCALLY: the final Chiltern League cross country of the season, second Sunday 5, the Bramley 10/20, the Harrow Hill 10k, Bedford Half Marathon, the first of the Gade Valley Harriers training runs and the Trust 10k . More details of these races and more in the Club Calendar. Comments are closed.
