Good Evening fans, and welcome to a Bank Holiday Monday edition of Race Report. Chiltern Harriers and friends were well-represented at the Bovingdon 10k yesterday, 24 August. Mairead ‘Mayreed’ O’Rourke came home as second lady in a chip time of 43.01. Richard Moss was first Harrier home in 40.46, joined by: Grant Whittaker (42.38); Ed Wright (45.23); Sylvia Moss (48.31); Claire Dickinson (56.43); and Tamsin Finch (59.33). My apologies for any missed results. Do feel free to email me if you were also at Bovingdon and I’ll include you in the next edition. Race Report 17 August: tracking the Thames, in the shade of Burnham Beeches and track successes17/8/2025
Good Evening, Race Report fans. I have got a proper treat for you this evening. Not one, but two guest correspondents to brighten your Sunday evening.
Kicking them off is Hywel Thomas - the 2025 champion of the MTS Thames Challenge. The Thames Challenge takes in 184 miles of the Thames footpath - England’s longest river path - from the source of the Thames in the Cotswold’s, to the Thames Barrier in Greenwich over four days. The Challenge is split into four (day-long stages), with each stage being a unique race in their own right. |
