Several Chiltern athletes got their track seasons off to a good start at Bracknell on Saturday. There were many PBs and good performances to enjoy on a sunny but cool and occasionally windy afternoon. U11 Boys
Ollie Dixon had a good day, second in the 600m in an excellent 1.59.44, and also running 12.87 in 75m. U13 Boys Jack Dixon was second in Javelin with a PB of 20.11m and logged 2.06.01 in 600m. U15 Girls Holly Knott had a busy day with PBs of 3.60m in Long Jump and 1.40m in High Jump, and a season’s best 2.35.01 in 800m. Holly won a bronze medal in High Jump. Fellow first year Juliette MacDougall was also in PB form – 3.92m in Long Jump and 5.11.02 in 1500m. Newcomer Lola Webb ran 14.94 in 100m and 31.12 in 200m and Amariah Odogwu ran 30.59 in 200m. U15 Boys Kit Dixon and Isaac Brown ran 1500m PBs with Kit recording 5.08.18 and Issac 5.14.49. Kit added 3.74m in Long Jump. U17 Women Evelyn Wildman had a great run, winning 1500m in 4.47.49, just outside her PB, and Rose Goding was third in javelin with a PB of 21.91m. Issy Robinson ran a season’s best 2.21.72 to be second in 800m. Abi Masters ran 44.43 in 300m with Pia Walsh logging 49.39. Chaise Duff ran 14.37 in 100m and got a PB of 4.19m in Long Jump. U17 Men Emile Morti ran a PB and English Schools qualifier of 13.84 in 100m hurdles, and followed that up with a PB of 11.43 in 100m flat. Mattie Gemmell (2.09.70) and Charlie De Sousa (2.28.88) both ran PBs in 800m. Possibly the best race of the day was the 1500m and featured PBs from Edward Johnson (4.13.66) Aidan Suleyman (4.14.06) and James Henderson (4.52.29). Comments are closed.
