Caroline Bird

It was with great sadness at the weekend that we learnt of the passing of Buckinghamshire AA President, Caroline Bird.  Caroline was the team manager of girls cross country teams for Bucks AA for many years.

Caroline also organised Bucks Schools Cross Country Champs and Bucks Schools Track and Field Champs, and was Bucks Schools’ Team Manager at English Schools Cross Country and Track and Field Championships.

Over the years Caroline helped many Bucks, including dozens of Chiltern, athletes with their development in county teams. Caroline’s passing leaves a huge gap in the organisation of junior athletics in the county.

There will be one minutes silence for Caroline at 11am at this Saturdays Bucks County Champs.
