Good Evening, Race Report fans. You’ll have to forgive me, as this is going to be something of an admin-heavy report this evening. Rabbie Burns would be turning in his grave. However, before we get into that, let’s look back to last weekend’s Fred Hughes 10 (miles). Lindsay and James Turner both clocked PBs for the course, in times of 1.23.57 and 57.34, respectively. Finishing in between them was Grant Whitaker in 1.12.11. Well done, Team Green.
If you’re interested in swimming or triathlon, and are a senior athlete, you might like to give Chiltern Tri a try. They are based at Chesham Moor and have coached swim sessions on a Thursday evening. They are happy for you to try a free swim trial. More detail here. Chiltern Harriers is looking for a coaching coordinator. This could be a role for one person, or a pair of people working together. This role is central to delivering on the Club’s mission to “bring together people of all abilities in order to run, train, compete, make friends, pursue their goals and inspire a lifetime’s health and enjoyment.” It is estimated to be up to 10 hours’ work per week. You can learn more about the role here. COMING UP LOCALLY: Last Friday of the Month 5k, Mornington Chasers Regent’s Park 10k, Watford Half, the final Chiltern League cross country of the season, second Sunday 5, the Bramley 10/20 and the Harrow Hill 10k. More details of these races and more in the Club Calendar. AND FINALLY: Remember that Race Report is only as good as the news that you send in. So if you have done an event, or know someone who has, send the result and any photos to [email protected] . I also appreciate recommendations of events to add to the Club calendar :-) Comments are closed.
