Race Report 20 July: park-run-life

It’s a quiet week in Race Report land, where we will be taking a bit of a break in the near future. If you haven't yet caught up on all the action from last weekend’s English Schools Track & Field Championships or the Southern Athletics League, make the most of the opportunity and do so now :-)

The results for this weekend all come from parkrun events. With the school summer holidays starting, I’m looking forward to seeing a few parkrun postcards over the coming weeks. However, this week the most exotic location was Tymon in Ireland, where Daire Stack earned himself a course PB and a first placed finish in a time of 17.35. In fact, course PBs were the order of the week, with a further five to report: Seb Lawrence (22.09 at Black Park); Jack Turner (18.44 at Wycombe Rye); Christine Taylor (22.42 at Aylesbury); Neil Bates (24.33 at Church Mead); and Ian Lawson (20.23 at Edenbrook). Lauren Mayot was anther first placed finisher, coming home in 26.05 at Church Mead.​
