Good Evening fans, and welcome to a Bank Holiday Monday edition of Race Report. Chiltern Harriers and friends were well-represented at the Bovingdon 10k yesterday, 24 August. Mairead ‘Mayreed’ O’Rourke came home as second lady in a chip time of 43.01. Richard Moss was first Harrier home in 40.46, joined by: Grant Whittaker (42.38); Ed Wright (45.23); Sylvia Moss (48.31); Claire Dickinson (56.43); and Tamsin Finch (59.33). My apologies for any missed results. Do feel free to email me if you were also at Bovingdon and I’ll include you in the next edition. Meanwhile in London, Ben Hannen was the only Harrier to take on the new LDNX 10k, coming home in a very respectable 42.24. And, randomly, a result from ages ago that I missed (and I have no idea why I just remembered it now): on 6 July three CHAC runners took on Runaway Racing’s Chiltern Ridge Half Marathon. Jenny Bizley was first Harrier back in 1.55.13 (and first in her age category, by my reckoning). Beth Lang and Julia Aliaj came home together in 2.31.34. Well done everyone! COMING UP LOCALLY: Last Friday of the Month, Southern Athletics League, the Leighton 10k, SEAA Inter-counties Championship and the Second Sunday 5. Find out about these events, and more, in the Club calendar. RACE REPORT: If you’ve done a race, or know someone who has, be sure to email the result to [email protected] so that I can feature them in Race Report. Similarly, if you see any local events missing from the Calendar, do get in touch at the same address. Comments are closed.
