Good Evening, Race Report fans. I hope you have enjoyed a fabulous weekend and dodged the rain. ![]() Looking back to last weekend, I’m pleased to bring you the results from the Coombe Hill Fell Race on 1 June: 7k of up and down… and back up and back down! Junior athlete James Malin led the Club home, winning the M18 category in a time of 33.21. He was joined by swiftly by: Ben Hannen (34.16); Jen Bizley (37.36); Mark Fry (45.24); and Lauren Mayot (49.13). And in equally exciting news, I can now upload pictures to the website again! No social media post is safe! [NOTE: unless you actually ask me not to post pictures of you, or the image contains a child (in which case I’ll check before publishing.)] Moving on to this weekend, it was a great result for Richard Quantrill in the Maverick Merlin Peaks Middle Distance yesterday (7 June) - a nice, hilly 28k event. Richard was first V50 in 2.30.02, coming home just behind Mark Nicholas in 2.26.13. Apologies to anyone who did the Penn 7 yesterday, I’m afraid I can’t find the results. And finally, there was a strong contingent - as ever - at the St Alban’s Half Marathon. Mike ‘Tiny’ Turney led the Club home in 1.24.57. He was joined by: Club stalwart Kingsley Nanton in 1.37.19; Susan Scotland (1.49.45); and Jonathan Coutts (2.20.51). In the 10k event Ed Wright was 1st V50 in 43.52. Well done, all! COMING UP LOCALLY: Cliveden Classic 10k, Misbourne 5 and 10k, Trust 10k run, Last Friday of the Month, Thame 10k, SEAA U20 / Senior Champs and Combined Events, and the next Youth Development League match. Check out the Club Calendar for more.
