The first match in the YDL Lower Age Group series was a Chiltern Harriers-hosted meeting at Little Marlow on Sunday. The meeting went off well with several kind comments from visiting officials and other clubs. Nicky Beckford had worked tirelessly to coordinate a big team of helpers all contributing to an excellent day. The Chiltern team were a very good third from the division of five with many PBs and a great atmosphere in the team. The weather was kind with mild temperatures, the occasional sunny spell and no rain. FULL RESULTS U14 Girls Lyla Russell had a great meeting winning A string 100m and 200m and second in A string long jump. All were good performances and the 200m a PB. Nia Beckford also had an excellent day, winning A string 75m hurdles in a PB of 13.09, second in A string high jump, and second in B string long jump. There was an excellent double win in 1500m from Chloe Willson and Sunaya Nanda, both scoring PBs, 5.06.21 and 5.16.79 respectively. In 800m Aura Lue Fong ran well for second in A string in a PB of 2.34.29 with Amelia Hanstein third in B string, and PBs in non-scoring for Millie Killingback and Anna Whitty. Elly Konkader provided good B string back up in the 100m and 200m, and Chloe Atkins ran well for third in B string 75m hurdles. Scarlett Shearer Dean won B string high jump and Hattie Clark Shorten jumped a huge PB of 1.44m in non-scoring. Darcey Duttton helped out to be third in A string hammer, as well as non-scoring 100m, and Chloe Willson was fourth in A string javelin. The 4 x 100m team of Elly, Lyla, Darcey and Nia was third. U14 800m runners Jack Dalton, Harvey Cartledge, and Jonathan Kalibbala. U14 Boys Middle distance went well with a double win for Jack Dalton and Harvey Cartledge in 800m, a PB of 2.26.33 for Jack. In 1500m Barnaby Williams ran a PB of 4.57.28 to be second in A string and Jack Dixon ran a big PB of 5.14.10 to win B string. Jack added third in A string javelin and third in B string long jump. George Aliaj ran well in A string 100m and 80m hurdles and was third in A string shot. Arthur Evora made a good debut in B string 100m and 200m with Toby Moore looking after A string 100m and long jump. James Woodgate jumped a big PB of 1.49m to win A string high jump with Jack Dalton second in B string. Jonathan Kalibbala helped out with B string shot and ran non-scoring 800m while Arthur Evora was third in A string hammer. Thomas Cooper had a good run in non-scoring 1500m, just outside his PB, and the 4 x 100m team of Arthur Evora, Jack Dalton, Toby Moore and George Aliaj was fourth. U16 Girls The 1500m was again a source of big Chiltern points with a double win for Juliette MacDougall (PB of 4.52.64) and Nell Frost (PB of 4.56.88). The 800m also went well with Alice Martin third in A string in a PB of 2.26.33 and Annie-Rose Quantrill winning B string, also in a PB of 2.36.46. The short sprints were looked after by Bliss Bushay and Ursula Mounsher, and 300m saw good runs from Lana Wahlberg and Nell Frost. Bethan Lloyd was second in A string 80m hurdles in a PB of 13.13 and second in A string 300m on debut in an encouraging 50.42. In B string 80m hurdles Gaia Ferraro was second and Holly Knott was second in 300m hurdles B string. In the field, Holly was second in A string high jump, Gaia second in B string, and Bliss and Gaia looked after long jump. Lana was second in A string discus and Annie-Rose second in B string. Holly and Bethan combined to tackle shot, and Ursula was fourth in A string javelin. Charlotte Smith ran in non-scoring 100m. The 4 x 100m team of Bliss, Gaia, Ursula and Charlotte were fifth. U16 Boys Sahar Dushvani-Eli made a good debut, fourth in A string 100m and 200m, both in PBs. He was backed up by Isaac Taylor in 100m and Harrison Lawerence in 200m. Oliver Atkinson ran A string 300m. Isaac ran A string 800m with Isaac McCall second in B string and Harrison and Hector Gamblen ran 1500m. Isaac Brown ran a big PB in non-scoring 1500m and Kit Dixon ran a season’s best in non-scoring 800m. Colin Miles had a very good run on debut to be second in 300m hurdles. Colin (1.50m) and Isaac McCall did high jump, Kit Dixon and Isaac Brown long jump. Javelin went well with Colin third in A string with 30.40m and Hector won B string with 21.78m. Harrison helped out in shot and Oliver in discus. The 4 x 100m team of Isaac Taylor, Sahar, Harrison, and Oliver were fifth, and the 4 x 300m team of Isaac Taylor, Harrison, Colin and Isaac Bown was fourth. Comments are closed.
