It was a very positive match for the Chiltern Harriers U13 and U15 team at Eton on May 3rd at the first YDL lower age group match at Eton. Although it was a small team, all athletes gained great experience and there were numerous PBs and event debuts to enjoy. It was a well organised match under a mild, sunny spring sky. U13 Girls

John Rooney and Oliver Atkinson ran well in 300m and Isaac Taylor, fifth in A string, and Isaac Brown, third in B string, did well in 800m. The 1500m saw good efforts from Colin Miles and Oliver Atkinson. John Rooney and Isaac Brown looked after long jump and Colin threw an excellent PB of 31.49m to be fourth in A string javelin. The 4 x 300m foursome of Colin, John, Isaac T and Issac B were an excellent second. With much better availability at match 2, the team will hope to move up the finishing order.
