It was a special day for Chiltern Harriers on Sunday, with the club hosting it’s first YDL league match for ten years. It was a great success with many complimentary comments from other clubs, officials, parents and athletes.
A huge amount of work had been put in by Alan Hewson and his huge army of helpers at Little Marlow Athletics Track to get the venue into tip-top condition for the day. This was in the weeks leading up to the meeting and especially on the day before. Dozens of older athletes, parents and coaches also helped on the day with the smooth running of car parking, refreshments, results, equipment and so on. Big thanks go to Nicky and Des Beckford, Sarah and Derek Lloyd, Adam Janisch, Ben Walsh, Sally Delgado, Tom Dixon, Sue Slade, Paul Goddings (PG Events) and Godstowe Prep. Match 3 on June 29th sees Wycombe Phoenix hosting at the same venue, so hopefully it will be just as successful.
