![]() There were another great set of performances at Little Marlow in Match 3 of the four match YDL series. There were several PBs amongst the Chiltern U13s and U15s taking part, despite the very high temperatures. The team were fifth on the day, with several new athletes making very good YDL debuts. U13 Girls Lyla Russell impressed winning A string 150m in a PB of 20.23, second in A string long jump with 4.23m, and third in A string shot with 6.73m. Nia Beckford was also in excellent form with a win in A string 70m hurdles, second in B string 150m, and second in A string high jump. Emilia Harriss made an encouraging debut winning B string shot with 6.48m, second in B string javelin with 16.12m, and third in B string 70m hurdles. Another good debut came from Hattie Clark Shorten, winning B string high jump, and sixth in A string 800m. Lottie Monnington logged two PBs, third in A string 1200m in 4.23.18 and third in A string javelin with 18.31m. Darcey Dutton and Chloe Atkins looked after 75m, Darcey also contributing in B string long jump, and Phoebe Gorman was fourth in B string 1200m. The 4 x 100m team of Ella Banks, Lyla, Darcey and Nia was third in a season’s best 57.69. U13 Boys Max Hall had a great day with three PBs - winning A string 75m hurdles in 12.70, second in A string long jump with 4.50m and second in A string javelin with 24.67m. Jack Dalton also had a good day, third in 1200m with a PB 4.13.74, fourth in A string high jump in 1.25m and third in A string shot. Thomas Cooper had a busy day, second in B string 800m, fourth in B string javelin, and sixth in B string long jump. Jonathan Kalibbala was fifth in A string 800m and Oliver Harrison rana big PB in non-scoring 800m. The 4 x 100m relay team of Thomas, Jonathan, Jack and Max were sixth U15 Girls A variety of factors meant the usual strong middle distance presence was missing in the U15 girls this time. But there were some very good performances elsewhere. Bliss Bushay looked after A string 100m and 200m and long jump. Gaia Ferrero supported with B string 100m, Lauren Dwyer with B string long jump. Lana Wahlberg threw a PB 16.54m in A string discus and made a solid debut in A string 300m. Bronwen Harman worked hard in B string 200m and 300m, and was fifth in A string javelin. Bethan Lloyd was fourth in A string 75m hurdles and Holly Knott won B string. Holly also did well in A string 800m and third in A string high jump. Gaia Ferrero was third in B string high jump and Lauren Dwyer contributed further points, fifth in A string shot. Anais Majekodunmi made a good contribution, second in A string hammer, first in B string discus, and ran non-scoring 100m. Ursula Mounsher on debut was fifth in B string javelin. The 4 x 100m relay team of Anais, Ursula, Bliss and Gaia was seventh, the 4 x 300m team of Lana, Bronwen, Holly and Lauren was sixth. U15 Boys A fairly full team did well against some top quality athletes. Harry Reeder had a good day, second in A string hammer, first in B string high jump, and third in B string 800m. Colin Miles achieved a PB of 1.50m to be third in in A string high jump, a PB of 35.75m to be third in A string javelin and a PB of 14.21 to be sixth in A string 80m hurdles. Isaac Taylor was fifth in A string 1500m and made an impressive debut in 200m in 27.02. Harrison Lawrence was fifth in A string shot, second in B string discus, and third in B string 1500m. Josh Woodward was sixth in a very high quality 800m. Rowan Davies made a good club debut with fifth in A string discus, sixth in A string 100m, and seventh in A string long jump. Alex McCloy made a good contribution in B string 100m, 200m and javelin. Oli Atkinson ran a PB in 300m to be sixth and ran well in non-scoring 800m. Jack Rogers had his first race of the season in non-scoring 800m and was fourth in B string shot. John Rooney was fourth in B string 300m and in B string 300m. The 4 x 100m relay team of Isaac, John, Oli and Rowan was sixth and the 4 x 300m team of Isaac, Harrison, Harry and Colin was fifth. The final match of the season is at Oxford Horspath on July 20th.
