The final YDL LAG match took place at Oxford Horspath on Sunday in mixed weather conditions, including a massive downpour mid-afternoon. A Chiltern team depleted by holidays and various other factors all did well, and there were a good number of personal bests and athletes tackling new events. U13 Girls Nia Beckford made a good debut over 75m with 10.90, completed a long jump PB of 3.96m, and was third in 70m hurdles. Scarlett Shearer-Dean, making her club debut, did well in high jump (1.20m) and shot (4.84m). Chloe Atkins contributed well in B string hurdles, 75m, and long jump. Emilia Ingham was fifth in A string 1200m. U13 Boys There were strong PBs in 1200m for Jack Dalton (4.07.10) and Thomas Cooper (4.14.40), and good efforts in 800m from Jonathan Kalibbala and Nicholas Janisch (PB of 2.42.80). Max Hall, despite carrying a hip niggle, did well in A string 75m, 75m hurdles, and long jump, and Thomas Cooper helped with B string long jump and javelin. Nicholas Janisch improved his PB to 28.03m to win A string javelin with 28.03m. Jack Dalton was third in A string high jump and Jonathan and Jack contributed with shot. George Callow ran well in B string 75m and 150m. Narayan Riat made a good debut in 150m and non-scoring 800m, and there was a great debut from George Aliaj, running a very strong non-scoring 75m (11.40) and in non-scoring 800m. U15 Girls Bethan Lloyd ran a 200m of 28.70 and also did well in 75m hurdles and javelin. Holly Knott ran a hurdles PB, was fourth in A string shot, and was second in B string 800m to record a season’s best 2.30.2. Lauren Dwyer also had a varied day recording PBs in A string hammer and long jump. Juliette MacDougall was third in A string 1500m, second in B string javelin and fifth in B string long jump. Maya Davis was fourth in A string 800m and A string shot and Ursula Mounsher gained good experience in A string 100m and discus. The 4 x 300m relay team of Bethan, Holly, Lauren and Juliette was sixth. U15 Boys A normally strong age group was badly affected with holidays. Josh Woodward ran well in A string 800m and ran a good 100m PB of 13.90 to help out. Harrison Lawrence had a busy day with A string 1500m, discus and B string shot. Colin Miles did well in his trio of events, 80m hurdles, high jump and javelin, and Isaac Brown ran well in B string 1500m. Comments are closed.
