The Wycombe and Chiltern composite team had another good meeting at Woking Sportsbox on Sunday. In a closely fought match the team were narrowly fourth in a tight battle between second, third fourth and fifth.
Conditions were dry but blustery. U20 Men Finn Walsh ran PBs in 100m (11.74) and 200m (23.26) to be fourth and second in those A string races respectively. Kwaku Kufuor provided good back up in B string. Tom Jordan was third in A string 400m and there was a double win in 800m with Henry Keen victorious in A string and Reuben Penney in B string. Jack Turner was second in 3000m A string and Dan Cogan won 2000m steeplechase in a PB of 8.04.14. Adam Babade scored good points in throws, second in shot and winner of the discus competition. Issa Phillips-Pope was in great form in pole vault, winning out with a new PB of 3.80m. Kwame Sarpong was third in long jump with 5.70m and Dan Cogan helped in the field in A string triple jump. The 4 x 100m relay team of Finn, Kwame, Tom and Kwaku was fourth. The mixed 4 x 400m relay team of Tom, Ivy, Dan and Florence was third. U20 Women Olivia Edwards and Keeley Wilkes looked after the short sprints and Ivy Uhart was third in 400m. Jocelyn Davies ran a PB to be third in 3000m. Florence Lee-Rubis was also in PB form to be second in 100m hurdles in 16.10. Ivy returned to win A string 1500m steeplechase. Florence also contributed with a win in B string long jump, second in A string high jump and fourth in A string javelin. Aoife McAuley won A string long jump, B string high jump and B string javelin. Lyla Griffin was third in A string discus and hammer, fourth in A string shot. U17 Men Lucas Haley and Jack Hughes looked after 100m and 200m, Darasimi Olowoloba and Charlie De Sousa 400m. Rory Crichton and Louis Bouzidi scored useful points in 800m as did James Henderson and Eddie O’Brien in 3000m. There were A string wins for Emile Morti in 100m hurdles, Jack Wallwork in long jump, and Edward Johnson in 1500m steeplechase. Edward was making his debut in the event and his time of 4.33.69 is an ESAA qualifier. Darasimi Olowoloba was second in A string triple jump and B string long jump. Adam Heywood helped out in javelin, Rory Crichton in shot and Emile Morti in discus. Adam and Charlie tackled non-scoring 800m. The 4 x 100m relay team of Adam, Louis, Lucas and Jack were third, the 4 x 400m relay team of Rory, Reuben, Darasimi and Charlie were fourth. U17 Women Sara Moszczynska was third in A string 100m with Eva Carsberg third in B string. Sorcha McAuley was third in A string 200m and Sara third in B string. Sorcha kept the trend going with third in 300m A string and Pia Walsh was second in B string. Freya Randall was third in a string 800m. There was a double win in 1500m steeplechase with Evelyn Wildman improving her PB to 5.09.45, and Issy Robinson won B string. Gabrielle Pope was fifth in A string long jump and Freya was third in A string triple jump. Genevieve Cole was second in A string hammer and fifth in A string shot. The 4 x 100m quartet of Gabrielle, Eva, Sara and Sorcha was third. The final match in the series is at Bournemouth on July 6th. Comments are closed.
