Happy Mother’s Day, Harriers. I hope you enjoyed the sun when it appeared this weekend. But before we get on to this weekend, let’s hark back to the last one. The Moss duo took on the legendary Grizzly in Seaton, Devon. Braving bogs, hills and 20 miles, both Richard and Sylvia came home in 4.20.29. Bravo! Also a shout-out and an apology to James Hudson, who I missed from last week’s results from the Amersham Ultra. James finished a very impressive 6th place in a time of 4.11.59. Meanwhile today at the MK Festival of Running Stuart Henderson earned himself a PB in the half marathon event – 1.45.08. Ed Wright braved the 20 miler, clocking a time of 2.39.06. Somewhat further afield in Bath, Jess Orr also earned a half marathon PB, with a time of 1.35.52. She joined Katie Repper, who finished in an electrifying 1.23.27.
AN OPPORTUNITY to support your local community: our local community radio station – Chiltern Voice – have reached out to CHAC asking whether any of our runners might be willing to raise sponsorship for the station as part of Spring marathon efforts. (They’ll provide a natty t-shirt / vest.) if you’re interested, contact [email protected] . COMING UP LOCALLY: English Schools’ Cross Country, the next Gade Valley Harriers marathon training run (17 and 20 miles), Hardwick X-Stream, Hillingdon 20, Last Friday of the Month, Ashridge Boundary Run, Bracknell Open, Oakley 20 and the White Horse Half Marathon. Check out the Club Calendar for details of these events and more. Comments are closed.
