Starting at 9.30am the routes head out to Hyde Heath and South Heath before going south to Little Missenden and then back along the South Bucks Way. The routes take in the classic Chess Valley ;out along the north of the river to beyond Chenies and then back along the south side to the Moor. This a very flexible route with options mapped for 6.8, 8.5 and 10.1 miles but other permutations are easy to lengthen or shorten the route to suit. This Sunday 12 January is the first 2025 "home" fixture from the car park at Hervines Park Amersham HP6 5 HU. Leaving at 9.30am the routes head up Cherry Lane to Woodrow, and Winchmore Hill before looping south round Coleshill and back to the Old Town. The routes end by way of Rectory Woods up to new Amersham. As locals will know the road under the railway bridge is closed. I have checked this morning and the footpath is open as usual.
