Park in front of the Greyhound Inn, HP23 5RT,
near the pond in the centre of the village or the car park on the northern side of the village Only 20 minutes from Chesham 12.3, 10.5 & 8.6 mile runs; 6.0 & 4.8m walks (maps on club website) We have not run here since February 2018. We will start from the film set village of Aldbury and enjoy an invigorating 250’ climb onto Berkhamsted Common, thence to the villages of Frithsden, Nettlleden, Little Gaddesden, Ringshall and to the Bridgewater Monument, before returning downhill back to Aldbury. Shorter routes divert past the management college to the monument. Whilst the scenery is magnificent, The National Trust Ashridge Estate presents certain challenges for navigation but we will run and walk in groups. Be warned the routes through the Estates will be wet and muddy! The traditional Greyhound Inn pub serves a good range of beers and meals. Take a break from marathon road training and enjoy the cross country footpaths whilst improving your map reading skills! There is even a shorter 4.8 mile alternative for walkers.
