Happy New Year, Race Report fans! May 2020 bring you happiness, health and running success (in that order). It's actually quite a quiet one to kick the year off. A number of Harriers were competing in county cross country championships over the weekend (Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire). Report to follow by Steve Perkin. There was also a great turnout for last week's Pednor 10 by Arctic 1. Results are available here. Yesterday, Saturday 4 January, Louise 'Comeback Kid' Fry took a first placed finish (and sub-20) at Wycombe Rye parkrun in a time of 19.53. Laura Gardner earned herself a new course PB at Maidenhead (28.25). At Black Park Keya and Kiash Klara had their parkrun debut, coming home in 42.31 and 42.32, meanwhile Kate Loach celebrated parkrun number 100 at Cassiobury Park, in a time of 21.10 (on which note, a shout out to Trevor Brawn who completed his 100th parkrun in Wendover Woods on New Year's Day). Well done all!
Today, Fabe Downs took a victory on the Downs during the Tadworth 10 (mile) event from Epsom Downs Racecourse. Fabe clocked a terrifying 55.46 (having competed at the Bucks Champs the day before). COMING UP LOCALLY: Cliveden 10k (already full) and the next round of the Chiltern League at Keysoe (also the next race in the Club Senior Champs and playing host to the Club Junior Cross Country Champs)... "Roll up, Roll up" for that fabulous water jump on Saturday 11 January! AND: Help us to plan this year's Social. What dates work for you? Comments are closed.
