It’s spoooookkkyyyy how well Harriers have been running this weekend, Race Report fans! (And shameful how bad the puns are going to get.)
But Let’s Do The Time Warp Again, because I managed to forget (“how?!” I hear you cry) the Tring Ridgeway Run on Sunday 13 October. There were two Harriers in action on the hilly course, David ‘Dastardly’ Saul and Mark ‘Fearsome’ Fry, who finished in 1.22.24 and 1.30.43, respectively. (I blame the Chiltern League on 12 October, and Angela Hughes’ birthday Prosecco, for befuddling my brain.) Good evening fans, from Race Report HQ, where we continue to experience some technical issues, so apologies for any results that may have gotten lost in the ether of the Internet
Chiltern Harriers had their best ever day at the Southern Cross Country Relay Championships at Wormwood Scrubs on Saturday.
There were four team wins – for the U13 Girls, U13 Boys, U15 Girls and U17 Men. The Senior Men took part for the first time and came an excellent fifth and there was an eighth place finish for the U15 Boys. Conditions were pleasant and sunny at the fast and flat course at the scrubs but recent rain made the woodland section fairly muddy. U13s and U15s ran a 2k circuit, U17s a 3.1k loop, and Seniors 4.4k. |
