Chiltern’s Under 15 Boys continued their great season with a win at the prestigious National Cross Country Relays Championships at Berry Hill Park, Mansfield on Saturday. On leg 2 of the 2k lap, Ethan McCall ran strongly to keep the team in contention, coming home in sixth after a leg of 7.06.7. A motivated Euan Pinder took over on leg 3 and had a fantastic run to go through the field to take the win, after a leg of 6.35.8, with a five second cushion. Alex Hughes ran well on leg 1 to log 7.07.1 in an incomplete B team. Also taking part were an Under 20 trio composed of Cameron Reid, Louis Peterson and James Palmer. On a longer 3k circuit Cam came home in 39th after a leg of 9.37.2. Louis gained places with a second leg of 9.38.85. James ran 10.09.55 and the team ended up in a creditable 34th. Junior Woman Emily Alderson ran in an incomplete Loughborough Students C team, running 10.09.20. Good Evening, Race Report fans. Chiltern Harriers have been producing some real fireworks this weekend, both on the trails and on the tarmac.
Jennifer Webb must be ‘totally addicted to racing’. Not only has she been going from strength to strength, pulling PB after PB out of the bag, but this weekend she did a Lakeland double. Kicking things off with the gruelling weather and climbs of the Hellvellyn 15k trail challenge yesterday, on Saturday 6 November, (1.41.13), she then completed there Derwentwater 10 (mile) today - in an extremely respectable time of 1.36.17 (strava)…. and all after moving house during the week! What a tough tough lady. |
