Good afternoon / evening, Race Report fans. I don’t know about you, but I, for one, have been very happy to see the sunshine this Bank Holiday weekend. I hope all of you who are just getting into your Half Term breaks have a thoroughly lovely break, and see lots more of Mr Sun and Mr Blue Sky (please tell us why, you had to hide away for so long.)
Details of how to book sessions for next week are below. Please note that you must check there is space available on your preferred session(s) before booking.
Important message to all those attending our Training Sessions and those looking to do races again shortly. We know some of you have still not renewed your membership for the current year. It is important for you, and important for the Club, as the Insurance cover for incidents that occur in training with the Club only applies to fully paid up Club members. If you are not sure if you have paid, you can check with Steve Field whose details are on the membership application forms. Steve is handing over the reins of Membership Secretary shortly, so I want to take the opportunity to thank him and his wife Ann for the superb work they have done for the Club in the role over many years now. The group training sessions are very well supported, but there may be some members who find that the sessions are now not meeting their requirements, perhaps because we are currently not having a faster and slower group split. If you have stopped attending because you feel you would prefer a less intensive session, with the emphasis more on coaching, then please contact Trevor Brawn at his email address on our website. And nothing says end of a weekend, of any variety, like Race Report. And whilst things are still pretty quiet on the racing front, what we lack in quantity of reporting, Harriers always make up for in quality of racing. No comment on the quality of writing.
