After three rounds of cross country at Merchant Taylor’s School, Northwood, final paces have been determined amongst the junior age groups.
The series of three races, in October, December and April, have seen great turnouts from the Chiltern youngsters and some excellent performances in a winter season blighted by covid-19 restrictions. In the Under 11 Girls Ellie Danner was rewarded with an overall win after three consistently good runs, including two wins. Kara Gorman did very well to be second, and Nia Clarke was eighth. There was another Chiltern win in the Under 11 Boys with Tom Ford, victorious after two wins and a second place. George Mawby was fourth and Charlie Quantrill fifth. Emily Ford ended up third in the U13 Girls with plenty of other Chiltern girls in the top ten: Olivia Clarke fourth, Lily Jessop-Tranter sixth and Marlie Nkoane seventh. In the Under 13 Boys Daniel Munn was the overall winner with Alex Hughes close behind in second. Both lads ran maturely in good quality races in the age group. The Under 15 Girls saw Frankie Baxter finish fourth and Maddie Hughes fifth. There was a very strong Chiltern presence in the Under 15 Boys results, with Thomas Redmond overall winner with two wins and a second place. Also featuring on the top ten were Archie Pinder fourth, Euan Pinder fifth, Alden Collier sixth, and Isaac Jessop-Tranter eighth. In the U17 Women’s results Abbie Henderson was fifth and Holly Henderson sixth. James Palmer was second in the U17 Men’s table after three consistently strong runs.
