Well, it had to happen at some point. There are no races to report on, I don’t think you fancy pictures of Spring flowers (although they are truly beautiful), and I am not techy enough to create funny videos. I’ve written you a poem! An Ode to the Green Team Oh who is that crew, that runneth in green? Broad smiles on their faces But of varying paces A happier bunch you never have seen. Chiltern Harriers, you say? Well, who on Earth are they? So full of fun and full of bounce, Not a spare pound, no, not even one ounce. Up Stanley Hill and down Chesham Vale With their lungs ablaze and calves of steel You see them working, day after day Tally Ho! Make sure to keep out of their way! Many have joined, others would wish to A Club of repute, of that there’s no issue. Sometimes reps, other times tempo Finished with a beer or maybe a Pernod! A truly marvellous crowd - that greenest of teams I see them always… even in dreams! But what say you, Dear Reader of mine That on that note we finish our rhyme. Oh go on, here are some Spring photos anyway…. DON'T FORGET to send / post your Easter themed pictures. Closing date of 11 April. Bonus points for creativity, use of Club kit and costumes. Email to [email protected] or post to Strava, instagram, Facebook, Slack or Twitter. Use the hashtag #harrierschallenge. The decision of the judges (Ellie Bates and Katie Royals) is final.
