Hello Harriers. It’s a been relatively quiet weekend from a Race Report perspective, so I hope you’ve all been enjoying the lovely weather and getting out for some nice, gentle bluebell runs. If you’ve not yet been to Hervines Park, I can highly recommend a soothing visit. That is not to say that there have not been some fabulous performances. It was a first-placed finish and an all-time parkrun PB for Lily Jessop-Tranter down in beautiful Bournemouth, with a time of 21.04, whilst Katie Royals was also rewarded with an all-time PB at Rickmansworth (20.33). There were course PBs for Sylvia Moss (21.14, Rickmansworth) and Victoria Lucas (25.53, Wycombe Rye). Finally, congratulations to Mike ‘Tiny’ Turney for a fabulous first at Wycombe Rye, in an enviable time of 18.51.
On the hills Claire Dickinson took on the fearsome long course Maverick event, completing the half marathon route from Princes Risborough in a very respectable 2.31.00. Well done, Claire! COMING UP LOCALLY: Last Friday of the Month 5k, Chalgrove Festival 10k, Esher 10k, Cliveden Cross Country, Marlow 5, the Ranelagh Harriers Richmond Half Marathon, Night of the 10,000m PBs, Buckingham Half Marathon, Run Prestwood 10k; and - of course - the Pednor 5! If you are not planning to run the Pednor 5 this year, then do please consider volunteering , and help the Club to put on a brilliant event for all. If you would be interested in volunteering, please speak to Trevor Davies. More details on these events and others are available in the Club Calendar. Comments are closed.
