Well, it definitely is beginning to look a lot like Christmas now. I hope you are managing to keep yourself snug and warm this evening, as we are here in the Bates Motel. Starting with 5k news, and parkrun results from yesterday, Saturday 10 December: there were plenty of Chiltern first places. Louise Fry came home first lady at Wycombe Rye in 20.23; Lucy Wilkinson - first at Rickmansworth and with an all-time PB of 18.44; and Alex Paul was first overall at Church Mead, Amersham, in a course PB time of 19.20. Rebecca Lawson took home an all-time PB from a chilly Black Park - 22.20, while Adam Shute earned a course PB of 20.21 at Church Mead. Stateside, Angela Hughes joined runners in Arizona for the Phoenix Hot Chocolate 5km race, finishing in a strava time of 31.23 and with a great selection of chocolate to show for it! From 5k to half marathons, Tom Powell took on the distance at Dorney Lake yesterday, completing it in a time of 1.46.52 and with a frozen water bottle! Meanwhile, Mike ‘Tiny’ Turney and Sandra Reynolds were in action at the MK Winter Half today. Both had brilliant runs to finish first in their age categories in times of 1.24.40 and 1.37.26, respectively. Well done! COMING UP LOCALLY: Chiltern’s very own Bran Tub Relay, the Last Friday of the Month 5k and the county cross-country championships. Check out the Club Calendar for more. Comments are closed.
