England Athletics U13/U15/U17 Indoor Championships

Chisom Nwafor picked up a bronze medal in shot at the weekend in the England Athletics U13/U15/U17 Indoor Championships at Sheffield. Chisom added fifth place in long jump to complete a successful weekend.
 
In January at Lee Valley, U15 girl Chisom had posted a huge 12.58m in shot and 5.22m in long jump, putting her third and seventh in the national rankings in those events. Whilst not quite at that level in Sheffield, Chisom’s11.84m in shot was enough for bronze, and 5.03m enough for fifth in long jump, so a great weekend’s work.
 
Jemma Thomson was also competing in the U15 events and ran 8.52 in her 60m heat, a little down on her 8.32 PB from earlier in the season.
