Several Chiltern athletes took part in the England Athletics U15 and U17 Track and Field Championships at the weekend.
This high level meeting, second only to the English Schools in terms of prestige and quality, is hard to qualify for and a good test against the best in the country. Saturday Lucy Wilkinson ran in a straight final of the U17 1500m and continued her superb season with fifth place in yet another strong time of 4.39.94. In the U15 Boys 1500m heats Isaac Collier front ran a new PB to win the heat in 4.19.82. In the 300m hurdles heats Ffion Harman had another good run to be fifth in 49.55, not enough for the final and a little off her best of 47.55. Aidan Suleyman continued his great recent form to be seventh in the U15 Boys 3000m in 9.27.61. Sunday Issac was eleventh in the 1500m final in 4.37.70. Alex Hughes was 13th in the U17 3000m in 9.07.86 and Ryan Allbrook was eighth in the U15 Boys triple jump in 10.44m, slightly off his recent best of 11.31m. Comments are closed.
