With the sun smiling down on the Chilterns, race report is back to give you an update from last two weekends of racing. Starting things off early (by which I mean 11 hours ahead of the UK) Fabian Downs took on the Christchurch Half Marathon in New Zealand on 10 April, competing the event in a speedy 1.09.11. On Sunday 11 April, Tamsin Finch and Christine Taylor were also in half marathon mode, finishing the Virtual Royal Parks Half in 2.15.14 and 1.46.41, respectively. For Christine, that was a great PB. Well done!
Moving on to Saturday 17 April and, again, starting things in the southern hemisphere, Carolynn Trimmer was 2nd lady at the St Albans (Australia) Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade Pioneer Trail Run. Carolynn clocked a time of 2.15.05 for the (almost) 15 mile race. Somewhat closer to home, but still on the trails, I took part in Endurancelife’s Coastal Trail Series East Sussex event (32.9 miles). It was an absolutely stunning day of running by the sea, and I was pleased to come home in 5.40.15. Finally, Rasmi Nanda took part in the Essex Marathon in Saffron Walden today, completing the event in 4.55.31. A big well done also to all who have taken part in the ATW cross country events at Merchant Taylor’s school over the last two weekends. Check out Steve’s report from last weekend here, and keep your eyes peeled for this weekend’s over the coming days. Comments are closed.
