Herts Schools Cross Country Championships

There were several Chiltern athletes taking part in the Herts Schools XC Champs at Verulamiam Park, St Albans on Saturday.
 
The route moved from its usual part of the main park to an area around the golf course which gave the races a slightly different character.
 
Ash Finch was 11th in the Senior Boys race, after a break. James Holdsworth was 13th in the Intermediate Boys event, and there were three Chiltern runners involved in the Junior Boys race – Tom Ford was the winner with Max King 15th and Jack Martin 21st. Hector Gamblen was 14th in the Pre-Junior Boys event.
 
On the girls side Roxie Jones was 13th in the Senior Girls race, and Emily Ford (2nd) and Izzy Martin (7th) both had good runs in the Intermediate Girls race.
