I do hope no-one has melted out there. Race Report is feeling full of summery vibes and is looking forward to receiving your (parkrun) postcards as you get out and about over the next month or so. It’s a relatively quiet report this week, albeit the results are as hot as ever. The brilliant Quantrills - Charlie and Sarah - stole the show at the Langley Park 5k on Wednesday 13 July. They came away with first places in the three-race series: Charlie in the junior male category, and Sarah was first female. Continuing the 5k theme with parkrun, there were all-time PBs for Thomas Emery (16.57, and a first-placed finish at Black Park) and Miriam Kempson (23.53 in Cardiff). Becs Nkoane was back to course PB form at Northala Fields (19.10), and she was joined by Steve Mayes (21.09 at Fleetwood), Charlie de Sousa (22.17 at Church Mead) and Richard Quantrill (21.51, and also his 50th parkrun, at Church Mead) - all of whom similar earned themselves course PBs.
And finally, Spartan obstacle course racer Finola Watkins was once again in action - this time in the ‘Midlands Elite Super’, where she clocked a total time of 1.00.28 and was 9th lady overall. UPCOMING event: this Wednesday, 20 July, sees the return of the Waddesdon 5k. Comments are closed.
