Marlow Half & 7-mile, parkrun and the New York Marathon

Good Evening, Race Report Fans. I’m afraid you’ll find this evening’s report a little sparse on official results. At the time of writing Michelle Trigg is going really well in the New York Marathon, on track to finish in under 4 hours. Well done, Shelly!

NEWSFLASH! She just finished in 3.49.23. Awesome running!

There was a flush of first places for Chiltern’s ladies yesterday in parkrun events: Lucy Wilkinson at Black Park (20.24); Sylvia Moss at the epicly-named ‘Gunpowder’ parkrun (21.15); and Katie Royals at Church Mead (22.19 - seconds off of her course PB, despite the slippy conditions).

And the gold rush continued in Marlow today. Whilst official results are not yet up, according to Strava reporting Aran Davidson was victorious overall in the Half Marathon, in a time of 1.15.50, leading the Chiltern team home to take the team prize as well. Alongside Aran were: Adam Shute (1.19.11), James Repper (1.21.27), Ed Wright (1.44.45), Miriam Kempson (1.56) and Giles Greenhalgh (1.59.27). Harriet Lemon completed the 7-mile event in 1.07.27. Well done Harriers for some great running on a tough, hilly course!

In personal news, I am delighted to share that Jessie Keighley welcomed her new baby boy into the world last week. His name is Percy and he is very cute.
