With lockdown 2.0 behind us, it was great to see some Harriers getting back to racing this weekend. There were some excellent performances in the sunshine at the third and final match of the ‘Junior Performance Cross Series’ in Cookham yesterday. Keep your eyes peeled for a report. Meanwhile in Bovingdon, some of Chiltern’s seniors put all that lockdown training to good use amongst a competitive field in the Hertfordshire Remembrance 10k today, Sunday 6 December. (Note: the times below are taken from the Event Chip Timing website, as of 16:30 on 6 December. I appreciate some athletes may have clocked faster times on their own watches.) Hannah Wardley came home in a brilliant 3rd place, with a cracking PB time of 38.49; whilst Miriam Kempson was 2nd W50 in a PB time of 49.33. Aran Davidson (who else?) was first Harrier home, in a speedy net time of 32.18 - yet another PB time - and just pipping Richard Slade (32.21). Adam Shute was next in 37.23 with, guess what, another PB time, joined by: Jonny Slade (38.01); Mike Worsfold (41.38); Ed Wright (43.49); and Tamsin Finch (52.14)… and yes, those were PBs for Mike and Ed too!
Well done, Harriers! Smashing this road running malarkey, aren’t you? Comments are closed.
