Good Evening, Race Report fans! The top story this week has to be the first match of the 2023-24 Chiltern Cross Country League, which took place yesterday, Saturday 14 October. Chiltern Harriers snuck away from Keysoe with the overall win on the day, as well as several individual and age category wins. Keep watching this space for Steve Perkin’s report. Congratulations to all who took part and well done for not becoming shark bait… Moving on to today’s racing action: Molly Quinn made her marathon debut in the beautiful city of Amsterdam, finishing in a brilliant time of 3.42.26. Well done, Molly! Meanwhile, back on home shores Ade McCormack clocked a (strava) time of 43.58 in Muscular Dystrophy UK’s Cambridge Town & Gown 10k, and David Saul finished the Cabbage Patch 10 mile in 1.35.03.
And finally, Chiltern had a great turnout at the Oxford Half today. Abi Askey led the Club home in a PB time of 1.36.09. Abi and her colleagues are fundraising for the mental health charity Mind, so please do donate if you wish. Abi was joined by a closely-knit pack of Jennifer Webb (1.57.02), Maria Slade (1.58.52) and Kate Paxton (1.59.41). Well done everyone! Comments are closed.
