Good evening, Race Report fans on Remembrance Sunday. Of course, I must mention that Chiltern Harriers have been action throughout the country in cross-country events: be that the cross challenge, the English Schools or our very own Chiltern League (where the toilet situation was the talk of the day). Results were strong as ever. Look out for reporting to come. Away from the mud and mayhem Christine Taylor completed her 50th parkrun at Wycombe Rye in a time of 23.11, while there was a course PB for Matt Lawrence (25.24 at St Peters, Australia) and a first placed finish for Lauren Mayot (26.57 at Church Mead). Meanwhile, in sunny Spain Grant Whitaker ran the 20km ‘Behobia- San Sebastian’ (or the B/SS) in a time of 1.32.56. Sticking to the half marathon theme, Mairead O’Rourke completed the distance over (many) lengths of Dorney Lake. Official times for Dorney not available, but strava time of 1.38.07. And finally, after a couple of days’ volunteering Tim Dawson braved day three of the Druids Challenge, completing around 30 miles in a very respectable time of 6.07.50. COMING UP LOCALLY: Rugged Radnage and Watford Autumn 10ks, Last Friday of the Month 5k, Chiltern League and the Mornington Chasers Regents Park 10k. Check out the Club Calendar for more.
