2020 is kicking off, Race Report Fans! And - whilst it is a painfully British thing to say - who isn't relieved to finally have some cold, crisp, sunny weather?! I hope that all those who weren't racing this weekend enjoyed some time out of doors soaking up the Vitamin D. ![]() We had a 1st and a 100th parkrun this weekend: Alice Brown completed her rest at Northala Fields (19.26), whilst Ed Wright did his 100th at Rickmansworth (25.21). There were all-time PBs for Charlotte Docwra (21.33 at Black Park) and Joanne Murray (25.05 at Ricky), whilst Steve Mayes earned himself a course record at Black Park (22.25). And finally, doing it for the girls, Alicia Bushell and Zoe Gilbody both came home in 1st place. Alicia clocked 20.18 at Black Park, whilst Zoe completed Telford parkrun in a stellar 18.42. Today saw the first of the marathons of the year in Gloucester (definitely too early to be called a 'Spring marathon'). Ian Lawson used it as a qualifier for the legendary Comrades Marathon in his home country of South Africa, finishing in 3.21.40; whilst Tom Powell came home in 4.19.26, alongside his friend Rob. Somewhat closer to home, Sylvia Moss and Grant Whitaker took part in the Fred Hughes 10 (miler) in St Albans, completing the event in 1.21.54 and 1.13.20, respectively. In Black Park, Matt Robins and Ruth Holroyd completed the Slough 10k, clocking times of 41.26 and 55.28. Well done everyone! Comments are closed.
