I hope this finds you well on this blustery November evening, Race Report fans. It’s been yet another active weekend for Harriers.
We’ll kick things off with parkrun. Yesterday, Saturday 2 November, was a day for family successes. In Telford there was a first placed finish for Zoe Gilbody (19.55), and a course PB for her brother Kody (21.34). In Galston, Australia, Jason Trimmer came home victorious in 19.35, whilst there was a course PB for his son Ethan (22.32). Kara and Michelle Gorman both earnt themselves all-time PBs at Rickmansworth (26.11 and 26.15, respectively). Ian Chapman achieved a course PB of 26.31 at Warwick Racecourse. Finally, Frazer Peterson had his parkrun debut at Rickmansworth (21.22). Moving on to today, Sunday 3 November, Paul McCarthy and Michael Bailey both completed the Marlow Half Marathon (1.37.09 and 1.44.38, respectively). Joanna Warfield took on the 7-mile race, completing it in a time of 1.01.26. In London Alastair Stuart took part in the November edition of Mornington Chaser’s Regents Park 10k series, coming home on 44.10. On the trails in Wendover Woods Ben Hetherington, Matt Channer and David Saul all finished the 10 mile race as part of the Wendover Woods Autumn Festival of Running. Their respective times were 1.18.00, 1.31.56 and 1.44.12 for the undulating course. Meanwhile, on the far side of the pond Mike ‘Tiny’ Turney and Angela Hughes have both been in action in the iconic New York marathon. Results to follow in next week’s edition. Well done, all!
