With Summer holidays in full swing (could somebody tell the weather!) it’s a relatively quiet Race report this weekend. A huge well done is due to Ed Wright, who took part in the Shere Trail Marathon (42k) yesterday, Saturday 21 August, completing it in 4.49.05. Meanwhile, in parkrun news, yesterday saw first place finishes for Neil Turner (18.22 at Wycombe Rye) and Ross Jarman (17.18 at South Shields, a new all-time PB). Henley saw a Hughes-Baxter extravaganza, with Nick Hughes leading the family and the race home to win in 19.26 (bagging his 50th parkrun in the process). Max Baxter was second in 19.55, just pipping cousin Alex Hughes in 19.56 (3rd). Maddie Hughes was first female in 20.34, with cousin Frankie second in 21.35. Finally, there were all-out parkrun PBs for Katie Royals (21.22 at Ricky) and Felix Danielli (21.15 at Hunstanton), and course PBs for William Mayhew (23.56 at Ricky) and Chris Lower (21.05 at Gadebridge.)
