I hope you’re looking forward to the Jubilee weekend, Race Report fans! Your Humble Race Reporter certainly is. I’ll be off for a couple of weeks from next weekend and back in action - all being well - on 19 June. So if you have any results which you might like to be included when I am back, please do send them to me. The weekend started early from a racing perspective, with the monthly Last Friday 5k from Serpentine AC on Friday 27 May. Sue Elliott and Sylvia Moss took on the speedsters, coming home in 20.11 and 21.17, respectively. Whilst on Saturday there were spectacular all-time parkrun PBs for Finola Watkins and Katie Royals at Rickmansworth (19.46 and 19.59). At Church Mead in Amersham (not the course for all-time PBs) there were course records for: Kara Gorman (20.35, also 1st placed female); Abigail Askey (24.32); Michelle Gorman (25.21) and Harriet Lemon (32.46). And finally, a number of Harriers flocked north for the return of the Edinburgh Marathon Festival. Matt Hipgrave took on the marathon today, clocking a great time of 3.32.20. Fiona Kelleher earned herself a brilliant PB time in the half marathon (1.33.29), joined by Gemma Stockwell (2.09.54) and Robert Barnwell (2.44.03). Well done, you race-y lot! Comments are closed.
