Good Evening, Race Report fans. I hope you have had a great weekend. Before we get into the detail of this week’s report, a reminder to you all to please book your place at the Club’s post-Chiltern league celebration by 5pm on Monday 6 February (tomorrow). It’s really easy to do. More information on how to do so is here. Starting things off with parkrun results from yesterday, Saturday 4 February, there were a few first placed finishes for Chiltern’s female runners: Rebecca Lawson (21.54 at Havant, an all-time PB); Lucy Wilkinson (18.27 at Rickmansworth); Louise Fry (20.14 at Marlow) and Yours Truly (23.15 at Church Mead). Meanwhile, Charlie de Sousa earned himself an all-time PB at Ricky (20.13) and Ben Hannen - a course record for Leavesden (20.59).
Moving on to today, Victoria Lucas clocked a strava time of 52.09 in the London Winter Run (10k). Meanwhile, it felt much more like Spring at the Watford Half, where I am glad to say Harriers were out in force on the hilly course. Aran Davidson led the Club home in a brilliant 5th place (3rd in age category) and a time of 1.11.07. Fiona Kelleher clocked a brilliant PB-time of 1.29.57, as did Ben Hannen (1.37.51 - so that's two PBs in a weekend!). Joining them were: Yours Truly, again, (1.30.44); Amit Dixit (1.33.12); Ali Young (1.33.16); Ed Wright (1.38.44); Grant Whitaker (1.39.14); Matt Channer (1.44.32); Rik Edwards (1.55.34); and Chris Pitkin (2.04.42). Huge congratulations to all! COMING UP LOCALLY: the final Chiltern League cross country of the season, Bramley 20/10, Harrow Hill 10k, Gade Valley Marathon training runs, Last Friday of the Month 5k, English National Cross Country, the Baldock Beast Half Marathon and the Berko Half Marathon. More details on these events and more at the Club Calendar. PS. Book your place for next Saturday’s social. Go on…. Comments are closed.
