Good evening Race Report fans from Race Report HQ. I hope that you managed to dodge the rain this weekend and enjoy some almost-Spring-like running. Also, I am going to apologise up-front to anyone who might have been competing the British Masters Indoor track and field champs at Lee Valley. While Your Humble Race Reporter has a good deal of stamina, checking some 130 odd separate events was a bit too much even for her! We’ll start things off with parkrun results and well done to Marlie Nkoane who was first female at Ricky in a time of 19.31, joining Jack Turner who earned himself a brand new all-time PB of 17.57! Meanwhile, today Mike ‘Tiny’ Turney was in action at the Hampton Court Half Marathon, clocking a brilliant time of 1.22.19. Richard and Sylvia Moss were both 4th in age category (and, in Sylvia’s case, 4th female) at the Harrow Hill 10k in times of 42.26 and 47.40, respectively. Congratulations to you all. As ever, if you have taken part in an event, I’m always grateful if you can send me the results for this report (and any photos). My address is [email protected]. A note about the Food Bank Run, coming up on Tuesday 20 February: Chiltern Harriers are delighted to be supporting a national initiative to increase donations to local food banks and will therefore be collecting donations next Tuesday at training. COMING UP LOCALLY: our Food Bank Run, Last Friday of the Month 5k, English National Cross Country Championships, Winslow 10k, the first of the Gade Valley Harriers marathon training runs (at a new location), Humanity Direct Amersham Ultra, Berko Half Marathon, the next of the Mornington Chasers Regents Park 10k series, the Club AGM and the UK Inter Counties Cross Country champs. Check out more on these events and others on the Club Calendar.
