The hard work of this training block is coming to an end for many as marathon season arrived with a bang this weekend.
But first, let’s start with a parkrun round up.
Rebecca Nkoane was 1st woman at Black Park in a time of 18.55. At Cassiobury Park, Kate Loach was 3rd woman in 22.06.
At Telford, Zoe Gilbody was 1st woman in a blistering 17.39. Kody Gilbody ran a PB to finish in 19.03.
Meanwhile at Rickmansworth, there were lifetime PBs for Grant Whitaker (19.37) and Steve Mayes (21.10).
Onto the marathon madness…
Brighton Marathon was the first marathon up this Autumn.
Jennifer Webb ran a huge PB, finishing in 4.10.10. Richard Hollister also ran, finishing in 5.19.44. Well done to both!
Up north, a couple of Harriers took on the Great North Run.
Simon Conway finished in 1.41.37. While Dave Bellamy ran for Teenage Cancer Trust and finished in a time of 1.51.00.
Some Harriers aren’t content with tackling just one sport. Craig Fulham is one of those. He came a very impressive third in the Eton Dorney Sprint Triathlon.
