Good evening, Race Report fans. Quite a quiet one from me this week, but look out for Steve P’s report from yesterday’s Cross Challenge event at Parliament Hill Fields, which will be full of excitement (and mud, probably!) Congratulations to Rebecca Lawson, who was 1st woman yesterday at Stockley Country Park parkrun in 23.31, as was Mairead O’Rourke at Church Mead (24.01). There were also course PBs for: Katie Repper (22.06 at Bath Skyline); Sylvia Moss (25.23 at Church Mead) and Ian Lawson (23.12 at Stockley). In fact, I think we had something of a record turnout at the tough Church Mead course. Hopefully everyone has successfully found the new WhatsApp community via the joining link that was shared via email on Wednesday evening (if you’ve not found it, check your spam!) There’s a number of Groups on there now: CHAC Sunday Run CHAC volunteers Harriers women’s XC (in practise, more like ‘the senior women’s group) CHAC Cross Country (Men’s) Marathon Training spring 2024 … as well as a ‘Chat’ group which is for just that - general running chat. Please do continue to suggest other groups to add, either by emailing [email protected] and [email protected] or by suggesting an existing group be added in the app. COMING UP LOCALLY: Last Friday of the Month 5k, British Masters 10k Road Racing Champs, Mornington Chasers Regents Park 10k, Watford Half Marathon, the Buckinghamshire Schools Cross Country, the final Chiltern League match of the season and the Bramley 10/20. Check out more on these events and others on the Club Calendar. Comments are closed.
