Race Report: the Harriers at Halloween

Ghoulish evening to you, Halloween Race report fans!

It has been a quiet week from a Race Report perspective. Tessa Passey kicked the weekend off early at Serpentine AC’s Last Friday of the Month 5k, clocking a time of 22.26.

In parkrun news, yesterday saw some unofficial milestones reached (unofficial in that parkrun doesn’t offer to sell you a new t-shirt, but huge numbers nonetheless): Matt Channer ticked off number 300 at witchy Wendover Woods, in a time of 26.28, and Tim Dawson - number 350 at Skipton, in 27.41. Huge congratulations are due to Claire Dickinson who not only completed her 50th parkrun, but also earned a new course PB of 29.27 at Church Mead. Fiona ‘Spooky Cellar’ Kelleher came away from Ricky with an all-time PB of 20.29, whilst there were first placed finishes for Adam Shute and I (Adam finished Wycombe Rye in 17.45, my pace was a considerably more stately 25.28 at Church Mead).

And finally, huge congratulations to Jennifer ‘Spider’ Webb, who completed the Dublin Marathon today. Jennifer finished the undulating road course in a great time of 4.10.31, more than deserving a pint of Dublin’s dark elixir as a reward.​
