Good Evening, Race Report fans. I hope you have had a good weekend. Once again, Harriers have been in ultra action. This time it was Dave Bellamy, taking on three gruelling days of the Atlantic Coast Challenge along the Cornish coast. Each day saw Dave take on more than 40km of running, from Padstow to Lands End, Friday to Sunday. Dave clocked very respectable times on all three days. Well done! In parkrun news, there were a number of first placed finishes for Harriers on Saturday: Kate Loach (21.44 at Cassiobury); Charlie Wood (16.29 in Blackpool); and Thomas Askey and Cath Holloway were both victorious at Church Mead, Amersham (19.48, and 23.59, respectively, also a course PB for Cath). There were also course PBs for Laura Gardner (31.11 at Church Mead) and Richard Moss (19.23 on the Isabel Trail). Finally, it was milestone celebration time for Mark Mayfield, who completed his 50th at Rickmansworth in 24.23, and Tamsin Finch completed her 100th at Church Mead in a course PB time of 30.13. Moving on to today, huge congratulations are due to Fiona Kelleher, who was 1st lady and 4th overall in the Watford 10k for Mencap in a time of 44.27. In the Bournemouth ‘supersonic’ 10k (part of the Bournemouth Running Festival), Adam Earl clocked 43.30. Whilst official results are still pending for the Tring Ridgeway Run, I see from Strava that Ben Hannen and Sarah Quantrill were there, with Ben finishing in 1.11.31. In central London today saw the running of the Royal Parks Half Marathon, where Jennifer Webb finished in 1.52.40 and Katie Royals in a PB time of 1.37.00. Well done both! And finally, our own Sweet Caroline (Stephens) took on Chicago. Well, Chicago Marathon at least, coming home in a brilliant 3.37.49 - a huge PB. Brilliant running! COMING UP LOCALLY: the first Chiltern Cross Country League of the season, Frieth Hilly 10k and 5k, Ampthill Trophy Cross Country, Abingdon Marathon, Last Friday of the Month 5k, the Fleet 10k and the Marlow Half.
