Merry Christmas from Race Report
Good Evening, Race Report fans! I hope you are doing well this evening :-) Congratulations to all who took part in this morning’s Bran Tub Relay, and a huge thank you to all who helped out to make it possible. Results available here, with Steve’s report to follow.
We’ll kick things off with parkrun results from yesterday, Saturday 18 December. There was a good smattering of all-time parkrun PBs, namely for William Shields (17.57 at Black Park); Hannah Wardley (18.02 at Long Eaton); and Emily Ford (21.17 at Gadebridge). Katie Royals earned herself a course PB at Tooting Common - 21.23 - whilst Charlie Wood was the first home at Rickmansworth in a time of 16.36.
Today, Sunday 19 December, Rash Wanninayake was in marathon action once again. This time it was the Big Xmas Trail Run, on the outskirts of Manchester. Despite complaining muscles, Rash did brilliantly to come in in 5.11.12. Well done!
And with that, all that remains is for Race Report to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I hope that you enjoy a wonderful time, and get the opportunity to fit in some good running time. See you in 2022!
COMING UP LOCALLY: Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire Cross Country Championships, Country to Capital, the fourth round of the Chiltern League, Mornington Chasers’ Regents Park 10k and the Watford Half Marathon. Check out the Club Calendar for more.
