Good Evening, Race Report fans from a peaceful Race Report HQ. This will be the last report of 2022, so I will take this opportunity to wish you all a restful and joyful holiday period and many a PB in 2023. To all the coaches, committee members, qualified officials, team captains / managers and other volunteers who make our Club the force-to-be-reckoned-with that it is: a heartfelt thank you from all of us for the time and care that you devote. We’d be lost without you. So, starting things off with parkrun, Rebecca Lawson and Helen Cholawo earned themselves all-time parkrun PBs yesterday, Saturday 17 December. Rebecca clocked 22.03 at Northala Fields and Helen - 21.55 in Exmouth. Meanwhile, Louise Fry was rewarded with first lady at a frosty Higginson parkrun in Marlow (20.37) and Martin Allen earned a course PB at South Oxhey (26.15).
Annelize Colquhoun joined the Running Tribe at their lapped event in Chalfont St Peter yesterday, finishing four laps of a trail course to complete the marathon distance in a time of 5.08.23. Mark Fry was also in trail marathon mode today, taking part in the rather chilly sounding Portsmouth Coastal Waterside Marathon. Mark finished in a very respectable time of 4.28.14. And finally, Harriet Lemon was back in racing form in the Richmond Park Half Marathon, completing the event in 2.08.29. Well done to all who took part in the Club’s festive extravaganza, the Bran Tub Relay and huge thank you to those who helped. You can find photos, results and a report here. COMING UP LOCALLY: the last Friday of the Month 5k, Bucks and Herts County Cross Country Championships, the next match of the Chiltern League and more. Check out the Club Calendar for details.
