Several Chiltern athletes took part for their schools in the English Schools Cross Country Cup Final at the Grammar School at Leeds on Saturday. The highlight was a victory for the Dr Challoner’s High School Senior Girls team, composed entirely of Chiltern athletes. See Senior Girls race on Vinco
There were several local schools that had made the final, with hefty contributions from Chiltern Harriers. On fast, firm, gently undulating courses the weather was dry so good conditions for fast running. Junior Girls DCHS featured good efforts from Evelyn Wildman (42nd) and Maya Davis (63rd). Maya had been ill all week and would normally have been much higher. The DCHS team was 18th from 27. Junior Boys The DCGS team was a creditable fifth, helped by good efforts from Charlie Quantrill (15th), Felix Danielli (41st), Isaac McCall (95th) and Eddie O’Brien (131st). Luke Coultate had to pull out with illness. Inter Girls Alice Peckham was second Chesham Grammar scorer in 54th place in the team that came 20th. Inter Boys All five DCGS boys in the team that finished eighth are Chiltern runners. Alex Hughes was 13th, Daniel Munn 44th, Rory Hilton 58th, Aidan Suleyman 78th, and Mattie Gemmell 136th. Senior Girls The DCHS Senior Girls had great runs to secure a win with 71 points, ahead of Bradford Grammar on 84 and Thomas Telford, Shropshire on 86. Maddie Hughes had a great run to be second with Frankie Baxter fifth, Ellie Shield 15th, Lesedi Nkoane 49th and Hannah Ashby 60th. The Wycombe High team that came eighth featured good efforts from Jo Snelling (66th), Tia Lomas (78th) and Sofia Lomas (80th). See Senior Girls Race on Vinco Senior Boys The Chesham Grammar team did well to be 12th, helped by strong runs from Archie Pinder (23rd), Euan Pinder (40th), and Sammy Bennetts (57th). The DCGS team were badly affected by illness and injury and only fielded three runners. Isaac Jessop-Tranter was 101st and Max Baxter 130th but Thomas Askey (injury) and Thomas Redmond (illness) could not run. Tom Emery was 28th running for Harrow School. Chiltern Harriers remained competitive at Stopsley Park Luton on Saturday and go into the penultimate match still holding a slight lead. The club were second on the day to Milton Keynes who are now just 34 points behind. There were individual wins for Kara Gorman and Emily Ford and team wins for the U15 girls and U17 men. There were 62 Chiltern finishers. On a chilly, grey day, there were solid performances all round on the mostly flat courses despite several athletes away at the Schools Cup final and others not available due to illness. The U11s did well with the girls having their best match so far. Soraya Roughton was fourth, Annie-Rose Quantrill fifth, Emilia Ingham 16th and Mala Bahia 17th to tie with MK for the win. The team are second after three matches. The boys also did well with Thomas Living having his best run yet to be second. Hector Gamblen was sixth and Jack Rogers 16th. The boys were second on the day and are second overall.
The U13 girls had just two runners but Kara Gorman with the win and Nia Clarke, third, still scored enough points to be third. The team are third overall. The U13 boys were similarly short but Kit Dixon (16th), Jacob McCall (18th), and Theo Roughton (26th) all ran well for sixth. The team are second league-to-date and should be stronger next time. The U15 girls had a really good team out and scored a team win courtesy of race winner Emily Ford, Lucy Wilkinson, having her best race of the season to be third, Marlie Nkoane eighth, and Katie Allsop 11th. Also running well were Lily Jessop-Tranter (14th), Jocelyn Davies (15th), Rebecca Lawson (26th), and Keya Kara (34th). The girls are narrowly second to MK after three matches. James Holdsworth ran well for third in the U15 boys race and the remaining scorers were Zach Cleary (16th), Danny Carruthers (21st), and Charlie De Sousa (25th). The boys were second and are second with two matches remaining. Charlotte Docwra was the only Chiltern junior woman but ran well for 14th. The team are sixth so far but should be much stronger next time and could still get on the podium. The U17 Men scored a win despite only fielding three runners. Alden Collier in third, Matt Evans seventh, and Leon Doran ninth all ran well. The Senior Women had a good team out and were second on the day. They still lead going into Match 4. Hannah Wardley continued her consistent season in sixth and was backed up by Bex Nkoane 11th, Finola Watkins 18th, Ellie Bates 25th, Katie Royals 32nd and Ali Young 36th. Completing the team were Fiona Kelleher 38th, Cathy Holloway 59th, Helen Cholawo 60th, Sylvia Moss 64th, Kate Paxton 92nd, Jennifer Webb 96th, Miriam Kempson 107th, Tamsin Finch 112th, Kathy Jessop 128th, and Fiona Calder 153rd. The Vets foursome of Bex, Ali, Cathy and Helen were third and the team are third overall. The Senior Men ran well but were up against very strong teams from MK and Bedford and had to be content with third. Scorers were Richard Slade, second, Will Brown third, George Brown fourth, Aran Davidson 17th, James Palmer 22nd, Louis Peterson 23rd, Tom Dixon 34th, Alex Paul 76th, Neil Turner 95th and Michael Turney 103rd. Also running well were Richard Moss (117th), Jonny Slade (129th), David Williams (166th), James Grant (170th), Neil Bates (202nd), and Trevor Brawn (229th). The U20 duo of James and Louis were second and third individually and second team. The team have a big lead overall. The Vets team were fifth: Tom, Neil, Michael, Richard. The Vets are third. Nick Hughes leads the Vet 50 standings as does Trevor Brawn in the Vet 70s. The season looks to be heading for an exciting conclusion and it will need good turnouts at the last two matches to ensure the club can compete to retain the league title. Match 4 is at Campbell Park, Milton Keynes on January 14th. There were some great runs from Chiltern youngsters at the Schools Cup Regional Round at Stowe School on Saturday where places at the National Final were up for grabs. There were thirty-nine Chiltern athletes taking part for their schools.
Junior Girls The DCHS team were second and through to the final. The team featured excellent efforts from Maya Davis (2nd) and Evelyn Wildman (5th). Chesham Grammar did not go through but Nia Clarke (6th) was their leading runner. Junior Boys Charlie Quantrill (4th), Isaac McCall (12th), Eddie O’Brien (18th), and Luke Coultate (25th) ran well for DCGS who make the final. Theo Roughton had a good run for RGS in 23rd. Inter Girls Chesham’s girls did well to be second. Olivia Clarke (7th), Issy Robinson (9th), and Alice Peckham (22nd) were part of the team. DCHS did not make it despite good runs from Rebecca Lawson (18th), Keya Kara (37th) and Lydia Cross (39th). Inter Boys Alex Hughes (2nd), Daniel Munn (3rd), Rory Hilton (12th) and Aidan Suleyman (16th) were the scorers in the DCGS team that came third. Max Roughton (19th) and Isaac Collier (21st) featured for RGS, Aylesbury Grammar’s Zach Cleary was 25th and DCGS’s Mattie Gemmell was 27th. Senior Girls DCHS’s all Chiltern team won comfortably thanks to Maddie Hughes (1st), Frankie Baxter (3rd), Ellie Shield (4th), Lesedi Nkoane (6th), Olivia Edwards (7th) and Hannah Ashby (14th), Maddie Rae was 13th for Piper’s Corner and Sofia Lomas (15th), Jo Snelling (16th) and Tia Lomas (17th) were in the Wycombe High team that came second. Senior Boys The Senior Boys race was a high quality affair and the DCGS team was second to Abingdon (who were second in the National Final last year). Tom Redmond was 3rd, Isaac Jessop-Tranter 14th, Tom Askey 27th, and Max Baxter 37th. Chesham also qualified for the final in third and Archie Pinder 6th, Euan Pinder 7tth, Sammy Bennetts 20th all ran well. Chiltern Harriers had another excellent day at the second Chiltern League match of the season at Teardrop Lakes, Milton Keynes on Saturday. The match, also incorporating an international for seniors and U20s, and the second round of the UKA Cross Challenge competition, saw some of the best runners from around the UK taking part. In sunny conditions and on a dry fast course the Chiltern team did very well, narrowly second overall on the day but with wins in Senior Men’s, U20 Men’s, U17 Men’s, and U13 Boys races. There were 71 finishers for the club. The juniors were affected by several regulars running for their schools in ESAA Schools Cup Regional Rounds. The U11 Girls were second team on the day and are third overall. There were good runs from Soraya Roughton (9th), Emilia Ingham (16th) and Mala Bahia (20th). The U11 Boys were second and stay second overall. Thomas Living was fifth, Hector Gamblen 13th, Albert Rushton 27th and Jack Dixon 33rd.
Kara Gorman provided the Chiltern highlight of the day with a great run in the U13 Girls race to win both the Chiltern League and the Cross Challenge. Joining Kara in the Chiltern team was Carys Jones who ran well for 16th. These two managed fifth and the team are second overall. The U13 Boys team were missing some strong runners due to Schools Cup but still achieved an impressive win courtesy of scorers Tom Ford (3rd), Felix Danielli (8th), Kit Dixon (12th) and Jacob McCall (13th). Lenny Brooks-Klingenschmid also had a good run to be 20th. The U15 Girls had a solid team out and were second on the day, second overall. Emily Ford gained another impressive individual win and the other scorers were Lily Jessop-Tranter (7th), Jocelyn Davies (16th) and Izzy Martin (17th). Katie Allsop also ran well for 18th. The U15 Boys were hard hit by the Schools Cup, but the team on the day still manged fourth and they are second overall. James Holdsworth was 9th, Callum Powell 12th, Dylan Rossi 34th, Danny Carruthers 37th and Charlie De Sousa 40th. The Junior Women were also affected by Schools Cup but had three scorers - Charlotte Docwra (12th), Alice Brown (16th) and Ellie Gowers (35th). The team was seventh and is third overall. The U17 Men had just four runners, but all did excellently to score an unexpected win. Ash Finch was 3rd, Matt Evans 9th, Leon Doran 10th, and John Nickless 18th. Although the Senior Women were fourth they retain their league lead. Hannah Wardley ran well for 6th and was backed up by in-form Katie Royals (19th), Finola Watkins (26th), Fiona Kelleher (28th), Orla Williams (39th) and Tessa Passey (50th). The scorers in the Vets team that were fourth were Tessa, Cathy Holloway (52nd), Helen Cholawo (54th), and Sylvia Moss (62nd). The other team members were Abi Askey (67th), Lyndsey Bill (94th), Jennifer Webb (102nd), Miriam Kempson (105th), Fiona Williams (127th), Laura Gardner (129th), Harriet Lemon (135th), Kathy Jessop (138th), Ella Watson (1548th) and Fiona Calder (159th). The Senior Men had a great day with a narrow win over strong opposition from MK, Bedford and Wycombe. The scorers were Richard Slade (3rd), Will Brown (5th), George Brown (7th), Aran Davidson (14th), James Palmer (20th), Louis Peterson (25th), Nick Hughes (36th), Tom Dixon (38th), Angus Williams (40th) and Adam Shute (55th). The U20s also won thanks to James, Louis, and Angus. The Vets team of Nick, Tom, Chris Gloster (133rd) and Richard Moss (141st) were fourth and lie second overall. A great turnout was completed by Alex Paul (64th), Jack Lawther (132nd), Jonny Slade (142nd), Pablo Fuentes (152nd), Ian Lawson (167th), Matt Hipgrave (168th), Henry Webb (172nd), Ben Hannen (189th), and Trevor Brawn (256th). Nick was first Vet 50 and Tom fourth Vet 40. The third match is on December 3rd at Stopsley Park Luton A record number of Chiltern Harriers took part for their universities at the Ronhill University of Manchester Relays at Wythenshaw Sports Ground on Saturday. On a flat but twisty 3k course, the men’s and mixed teams did six legs and women-only teams did three. Quite a few athletes completed more than one leg across several teams in this fun, informal but high quality event. George Brown ran on leg 1 for his University of Nottingham team (Flying Nottsmen) and had a superb run to finish third and retain the third-fastest time of the day – 8.56. George also did leg 3 for the Nottingham mixed team in 9.21. The Nottsmen were seventh from 56 complete teams. Will Brown also ran very well for 9.10 on leg 3, the fastest leg of the Birmingham University team Lazza’s Legends which came 13th, and 9.25 on leg 5 for the Newcomers team that came 17th.
Two Chiltern old boys were on the same team with Alex Johnson (11.29 on leg 2) and Luke Martin (11.37 on leg 6) competing in the Manchester University B team that was 45th. Bristol University also featured strongly and there were three Chilterns in the Bristol teams. Alex Aldred ran leg 3 (9.43) in the Bristol A team that came ninth, with Jamie Carruthers running 10.43 in leg 1 of the Bristol D team that was 43rd. Recent graduate Jess Orr was in a Bristol alumni team and ran 14.34 on leg 2 There were some good performances in the SEAA Cross Country Relays at Wormwood Scrubs on Saturday but the only medal was won by the Senior Men’s team, the first time a Chiltern senior outfit has medalled at this event. It was a warm, sunny day at Acton and the course was mostly firm and fast. Chiltern’s junior teams were depleted with many families going away taking advantage of the two-week half term. The first race was a combined U17/U20 women’s race where both Chiltern teams consisted of a duo. U17 Ellie Shield continued her good recent form with a first leg of 11.27 on the 3k loop and Marea Logan followed this up with 12.21. The U20s featured Liv Cameron in 11.45 and Holly Henderson in 11.58.
U20 Tom Emery made a welcome rare appearance for the club coming in third with a 9.20 lap and this was followed by Thomas Askey with 9.57. The U17 men competed alongside the U20s and Isaac Jessop-Tranter (10.01), Ash Finch (9.51) and Matt Evans (10.21) were ninth complete team. Euan Pinder had a great run of 9.42 in an incomplete B team. The U13 Girls had one team out on the shorter 2k route and did very well to be fifth. Kara Gorman (7.08), Nia Clarke (7.51) and Megan Lockwood (8.12) all ran strongly in a field of 21 complete teams. Jacob McCall (7.40), Isaac McCall (7.22) and Kit Dixon (8.02) were 12th in the U13 Boys race and Lenny Brooks-Klingenschmidt (8.21) and Felix Danielli (7.53) were an incomplete B team. The U15 girls had two full teams, both of which logged top ten finishes. The A team featured Emily Ford (7.18), Lily Jessop-Tranter (7.20) and Olivia Clarke (7.44) in fifth, and in eighth were the B team of Izzy Martin (7.42), Lucy Wilkinson (7.31) and Issy Robinson (7.31). Rebecca Lawson ran 8.08 in an incomplete C team. In the U15 Boys just one Chiltern team toed the line with Rory Hilton (6.53), James Holdsworth (7.00) and Isaac Collier (7.03) coming in tenth place. The course reverted to 3k for the Senior Women and the A team of Katie Royals (12.04), Bex Nkoane (11.26) and Finola Watkins (11.56) came a creditable 14th. Katie’s time was 54 seconds faster than last year. The incomplete B team featured recent graduates Lizzie Barraclough (13.14) and Jess Orr (14.23). The final action of the afternoon saw the Senior Men tackle a 4k route and pre-race there were hopes that the young team could improve on last year’s 8th place. These were well founded as Richard Slade won the first leg in a brisk 11.40. George Brown ran 11.49 on leg 2 to create a good lead. On leg 3 Cameron Reid ran 12.56 and Will Brown went into leg 4 in a close second to Windsor with Thames Valley close behind in third. An exciting final lap saw Will overtaken initially but then come through to confirm second, just 11 seconds off the win. Will’s time was 11.52. Richard’s 11.40 remained the fastest leg of the whole race. Chiltern Harriers made a great start to defending their Chiltern League title with a good win at the opening match of the season at Oxford Horspath on Saturday. It was a warm, sunny day and dry courses meant a choice between trainers and spikes. There were many team wins and several individual wins in a very strong showing by the club. There were 107 Chiltern athletes taking part. The Under 11 Girls were first on the programme and a brand new team did well to finish fourth. The scorers were Soraya Roughton in an impressive fifth, Mala Bahia in 15th and Emilia Ingham in 23rd. The Under 11 Boys were second thanks to good runs from Thomas Living in eighth, Hector Gamblen 13th, and Jack Rogers 17th. There was also a good run from Jack Dixon in 29th.
Chiltern’s Under 13 Girls this year are a small but talented squad and all had good runs to provide the first of the club’s team wins. Kara Gorman won the race with Maya Davis third, Nia Clarke fifth, Evelyn Wildman eighth, Megan Lockwood ninth, and Carys Jones 18th. A further win came from the Under 13 Boys. The scorers were Tom Ford in second, Charlie Quantrill eighth, Jacob McCall 14th and Isaac McCall 15th. Also running well were George Mawby 16th, Luke Coultate 19th, Vadym Poltorak 22nd, Kit Dixon 24th, Lenny Brooks-Klingenschmid 30th and Theo Roughton 31st. The Under 15 Girls kept the team wins coming with great runs from Division 1 winner Emily Ford, Lily Jessop-Tranter third, Olivia Clarke sixth and Katie Allsop 11th. A good team presence was completed by Issy Robinson (13th), Lucy Wilkinson (15th), Jocelyn Davies (16th), Alice Peckham (21st), Rebecca Lawson (23rd), Keya Kara (37th), Genevieve Donald 41st and Lydia Cross (50th). More great packing resulted in a team win for the Under 15 Boys. In-form Alex Hughes scored a strong win with Daniel Munn second, Rory Hilton sixth and James Holdsworth eighth. Aidan Suleyman was 13th, Max Roughton 15th, Danny Carruthers 27th, Charlie De Sousa 32nd, Soren Fox 40th and Mattie Gemmell 41st. There was a great turnout from the U17/U20 Women and another team win. Maddie Hughes secured another individual win and Frankie Baxter in fourth and Ellie Shield in 11th completed the scoring. Also contributing were Lesedi Nkoane (14th), Maddie Rae (15th) Marea Logan (16th), Hannah Ashby (18th), Jo Snelling (27th) and Ellie Gowers (36th). Vet scorers were Sarah, Cathy, Abigail Askey (37th) and Tessa Passey (45th). Others in action: Alex Gray (52nd), Caroline Stephens (70th), Miriam Kempson (76th), Tamsin Finch (82nd), Kathy Jessop (100th), Hannah Ryan (106th), Ella Watson (108th), and Fiona Calder (127th). The Senior Men’s result was amazingly close with Milton Keynes on 2069 points, Chiltern 2057, and Bedford 2050. There was an excellent showing from the Chiltern scorers led in by Richard Slade in a great second place. Will Brown was fifth, George Brown sixth, James Palmer 17th, Alex Aldred 18th, Nick Hughes 25th, Louis Peterson 27th, Tom Dixon 30th, Adam Shute 60th and James Repper 63rd.There were Chiltern wins in the U20 Mens’ category thanks to James Palmer, Alex and Louis, and in the Veteran category: Nick, Tom, Adam and James Repper. James and Alex were first and second U20s and Nick Hughes was first Vet 50. Completing a big team were Tom Askey (72nd), Neil Turner (78th), Alastair Melville-Smith (106th), Ian Lawson (112th), Henry Webb (128th), Chris Gloster (144th), Matt Hipgrave (149th), Jonny Slade (168th), Ben Hannen (169th), David Williams (172nd), Chris Lower (173rd), Ed Wright (180th), David Howells (206th), and Trevor Brawn (226th). The second match is at Teardrop Lakes on November 12th. Several Chiltern Harriers school age athletes took part for their schools in the county round of the ESAA Cross Country Cup at Cottesloe School, Wing on Tuesday.
There were some excellent runs and several runners will be heading to the Regional Final on November 12th where there is the chance to progress to the National Final in December. It was a glorious sunny day which made the tough hilly courses drier than usual. Junior Girls Chiltern athletes took the first four places in the first event on the programme, the Junior Girls race, featuring runners from Years 7 and 8. The girls ran a short 2300m course. Maya Davis carried on her recent strong form to record a big win. Nia Clarke was second, Evelyn Wildman third and Megan Lockwood fourth. Junior Boys The Junior Boys race was slightly longer at 2700m. The Chiltern contingent were again well placed. Charlie Quantrill was second, Isaac McCall third, Eddie O’Brien eighth, George Mawby tenth, Luke Coultate 11th, Hugo Mundy 14th, and Theo Roughton 16th. Intermediate Girls The Inter Girls ran the same 2700m circuit as the Junior Boys and there was again good packing from the Chiltern runners. Lily Jessop-Tranter was fourth, Olivia Clarke fifth, Lucy Wilkinson sixth, Issy Robinson seventh, Ffion Harman 10th, Rebecca Lawson 12th, Alice Peckham 13th, Katie Allsop 17th, Jocelyn Davies 20th, Abi Masters 24th, Keya Kara 29th, Florence Lee-Rubis 42nd, Genevieve Donald 44th and Lydia Cross 48th. Intermediate Boys Alex Hughes was a comfortable winner on a longer 4400m course with Daniel Munn second. Also doing well were Rory Hilton ninth, Max Roughton tenth, Aidan Suleyman 11th, Isaac Collier 13th, Zach Cleary 14th, and Mattie Gemmell 29th. Senior Girls Maddie Hughes had a great battle with Jemima Ridly and just won in the final straight. Frankie Baxter was third, Ellie Shield fifth, Olivia Edwards sixth, Maddie Rae ninth, Lesedi Nkoane tenth, Tia Lomas 11th, Jo Snelling 13th, and Hannah Ashby 14th. Senior Boys Thomas Redmond won the 5.1k Senior Boys race with Archie Pinder second, Euan Pinder third, Tom Askey fifth, Isaac Jessop-Tranter sixth, Sammy Bennetts seventh and Ethan McCall 18th. SIAB Cross Country Maddie Hughes in the Intermediate Girls and Alden Collier in the Intermediate Boys were representing England Schools at the SIAB International at Carmarthen on Saturday. The match features eight runners from England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland and is for the Junior and Intermediate age groups. On a fast course Maddie had a good run to be ninth, and seventh England runner in a field of over thirty. Alden suffered with a stomach muscle problem and finished 31st in his race. Both get to keep their England kit from this prestigious high level event. National Primary Schools Cross Country There were two Chiltern winners at this event which has races for years 5, 6 and 7, and features teams from all over the country. The meeting was held at Market Harborough in Leicestershire. The Bucks Swans team was organised by our own Becky McCall and the county did very well. Kara Gorman won the Year 6 Girls race comfortably after a poor start and Tom Ford, running for Herts, won the Year 7 Boys race. There were several other Chiltern runners taking part over a simple, flattish course in lovely spring sunshine. The Year 6 Girls also featured good runs by Maya Davis (7th), Nia Clarke (23rd), and Carys Jones (79th). There were 149 finishers in total. There were 138 runners in the Year 6 Boys race in which Jacob McCall was 51st, Luke Coultate 80th and Isaac McCall 82nd. Unlike Kara, Tom Ford had the closest of battles, sharing the same time as the his fast-finishing rival and being awarded joint first, both well ahead of third. Also for Herts Jack Martin ran well to be 15th. Charlie Quantrill was 33rd running for Bucks Swans with Hugo Mundy 51st and George Mawby 91st. The Bucks Swans lads were silver medallists. Evelyn Wildman was 38th in the Year 7 Girls race, third Bucks Swans girl home. The Team were an excellent third. Albert Rushton was Chiltern’s only runner in the Year 5 Boys race in 125th place. The final big national cross country meeting of the season, the English Schools Championships, took place at Hop Farm, Kent on Saturday under blue skies and on a flat and firm course.
It was another very successful day for Chiltern athletes with Maddie Hughes, sixth in the Intermediate Girls race, and Alden Collier, fifth in the Intermediate Boys, winning selection to represent England in the SIAB (Schools International Athletic Board) race against Wales, Scotland and Ireland next Saturday in Wales. The Intermediate Girls were the first race off on a 3.8k circuit and Maddie had another great run to finish sixth, securing her England spot for next week. And, in a pleasant surprise, the Buckinghamshire team won the team title, the first time a Bucks team has won in thie event in memory. Other Chiltern girls in this one were newcomer Allegra Massey, 73rd and fifth scorer, and Frankie Baxter 92nd and sixth scorer. Next up were the Junior Boys on a 4.4k route with Bucks 24th team. First Bucks finisher was Daniel Munn in 50th, with Alex Hughes third scorer in 76th, Rory Hilton fifth scorer in 240th and Callum Powell sixth scorer in 255th. The Junior Girls race of 3.2k saw a superb race for Hertfordshire Schools from Emily Ford who finished an impressive 13th. For the Bucks team that ran well to be fourth, Chiltern contributions came from Lily Jessop-Tranter in 100th and Marlie Nkoane in 153rd. There were five Chiltern boys in the Bucks Intermediate Boys team that tackled 5.7k and they were a creditable sixth. Alden Collier, despite being a first year, ran an excellent race to be well up and fifth place is a superb effort. Alden will join Maddie in Carmarthen next Saturday in England colours. Also running well were Oakley Denson 77th, Euan Pinder 91st, Archie Pinder 103rd and Isaac Jessop-Tranter 189th. The Senior Girls, running 4.4k, were eighth, continuing a very good day for Bucks. Holly Henderson was second scorer in 51st, Abbie Henderson fifth scorer in 101st and Olivia Edwards, after a fall near the start, eighth Bucks girl in 203rd. The final race of the day saw the Senior Boys race 7k. James Palmer was 4th Oxfordshire scorer in 80th with Tom Emery 165th for Middlesex. The Chiltern lads in the Bucks team saw Louis Peterson first in 99th place, Ollie Meadowcroft third in145th in his first big race, and Laurie Gawne seventh in 252nd. |
